This week felt busy and a little chaotic, but a few tiny moments grounded me. On Tuesday, I tried a new café near my apartment. The barista wrote a smiley face on my cup, and somehow that small gesture carried me through the afternoon.
On Wednesday evening, I walked home without headphones—no podcasts, no music. Just the sound of cars, people laughing outside restaurants, and the breeze brushing past the trees. I had forgotten how calming it is to simply listen.
Last night, I called an old friend I hadn't talked to in months. We laughed like no time had passed. It made me realize how refreshing it is to reconnect, even for ten minutes.
What were your small joys this week?
